We are thrilled to have Ashley and Colby Swartz lead our inaugural retreat. Ashley and Colby are a brother and sister team that share a love of fitness and push one another competing together in olympic and half iron man distance triathlons.
Ashley, an athlete from childhood, finds her sanity and escapes by teaching fitness. As an adult she began training Hung Gar Kung Fu and fighting full contact to avoid an ulcer from her day job in finance while in her early 20s. She completed the world’s largest endurance mountain bike race on a whim in Norway in 2004, and was hooked. During her hiatus from technology she opened a private training studio, completed her full classical Pilates certification and became a US Cycling Federation Coach to begin training athletes. She teaches and believes that all is healed through movement; both mind and body. She is also an avid fan of dancehall, reggae, roots and culture and is excited to be part of Custom Fit Negril.
Colby is an all American high school athlete, who went to ASU to play college football. After being injured, he pursued his love of athletics and fitness by attaining a degree in kinesiology and physical education. As an educator and coach, he saw the power that physical well being had on the quality of people, in particular, children's lives. After moving to NYC to pursue a career in finance and to be closer to his family, he continues to compete and train in amateur sports.
